Abby & Brad | Washington DC District Winery Simple Yet Refined Summer Wedding

Abby and Brad celebrated their marriage with a simple yet refined summer wedding in Washington DC at District Winery in Navy Yard! The couple began their wedding day preparations at a suite in The Thompson Hotel with their wedding parties - the bride had her mom and sister help her into her dress and put on her jewelry and shoes. She shared a First Look with her dad where the family exchanged small, sentimental gifts and took some portraits together. The couple opted for a First Look themselves outside of the Thompson on a beautiful pathway with overhanging greenery. The groom was dazzled by his bride and could not stop smiling from ear to ear! The couple, their families and their wedding party made their way over to District Winery for their ceremony on the rooftop. A storm rolled in but the couple was able to get their ceremony in right before the skies opened up! A cocktail hour followed and then it was onto dinner and dancing at their reception. The couple had simple table decor with florals and candles by Poppy Flowers - Poppy also designed the bride’s bouquet and the groom’s boutonnière! Their color palette was ivory, black and forest green - the perfect palette for a refined and modern summer wedding in Washington DC!
